About Guushu

谷序 - Where Tradition Meets Innovation

Our Philosophy

Restraint, longevity, and pieces that hold up over time — that's what we try to leave in every garment.

The Meaning of Guushu 谷序

"Gu" (谷) means valley — the low ground that gathers and holds, where things collect quietly and with depth. "Shu" (序) means order and sequence, the rhythm of things through time. Together, Guushu describes how we see fashion: not chasing the noise of the moment, but letting each garment find its own place in time. Trends come and go; good design stays, season after season.

What We Set Out to Do

We make clothes for contemporary women — and for their real lives. Wearable asks one thing more than good-looking: it has to hold up through a full day of commuting, moving, and getting things done, and, when it matters, make you feel at ease the moment you put it on, like yourself. We believe the right piece shouldn't distract you, but let you focus on wherever you're headed.

On Sustainability

For us, sustainability isn't a slogan but a series of concrete choices: which fabrics we use, who we work with, how we cut down on waste. We'd rather make clothes that last for years — buying less and wearing longer is the plainest form of sustainability there is.

  • Working with makers who value craft and treat their workers well
  • Choosing natural and recyclable fabrics first
  • Keeping waste to a minimum in production
  • Making classics that endure, not trends that fade fast

Our Design

Our aesthetic sits between Eastern restraint and contemporary simplicity — less is more: take away the unnecessary so what remains is worth more. In the clothes themselves, that comes down to a few things:

  • Clean lines and carefully considered silhouettes
  • Versatile pieces that carry from day into night
  • Good fabrics that feel comfortable against the skin
  • Quiet details that reveal themselves only on a closer look

Our Values

Authenticity

Trusting our own judgment while staying close to the real, evolving needs of modern women.

Quality

Every piece sweats the details, so it can stay with you for longer.

Innovation

Always trying new materials, techniques, and more responsible ways to produce.
